info about that,
[How to avoid the "Windows Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting warning"]
https://stackoverflow.com/a/66582477/5452781

*Submitted zip to MS analysis, lets see what happens.

ok, got results (from the current prerelease build:

The warning you experienced indicates that the application had not established reputation with the Microsoft Defender SmartScreen Application Reputation feature at that time. We can confirm that the application (SHA256:64F4D28CC32D388890E39EF44C49C2B43BC889097B55BA0068432AB43EAAB9E7)" has since established reputation and attempting to download or run the application should no longer show any warnings.

Please note, however, that the submitted files are not signed using a valid digital certificate. Unsigned files will have to establish reputation each time a new version is released.

Publish your first app in the Microsoft Store
MS Store Account Management
MSIX installer howto
Publish your first PWA in the Microsoft Store

unrelated to Unity: Electron framework signage
unrelated to MS: payments, billing, tax - Padle distribution, but could also be Gumroad.com or others in case of games, but Unity has own services and products... so maybe one day they make something integrated with this MS hosting and signage organization madness, but Unity has also marketing solutions and providers for Unity.

Technology apps distribution could also vary, including consoles and their requirements, so also signage or other aspects of game development process. But in Unity there could be also apps, not only games... And also non-MS issues like Google or Apple deployment and delivery.

I hope so!!

*StoryTime™
I had microsoft store account ready setup for this app few years ago,
which i later couldn't access (due to inactivity?).
And then spend 1-2 months with every microsoft support outlet that i could reach, trying to get it solved.
But nobody could help and kept going circles, tried password resets (that didnt allow reset, even though i had receipts of my payment and credit card details that i used for the shop), then they always suggested different site to contact, 90% of the time the support form never even worked, unknown errors etc
even called their AI support phone multiple times, but it didn't understand any words..
Huh.. i guess just have to try again later : o

[unitycoder]

too expensive to get certificates for now..

[unitycoder]

opening this again, now that there is new support method (got some income already from there)
