Remove deprecated APIs #57384

Description

@zoontek

Description

The APIs listed below are already replaced, broken, or no longer do anything. They should be removed to keep the surface small and avoid confusing new users.

We should clean each one up once the version it was deprecated in is flagged as unsupported. The React Native releases page lists which versions are still supported, so use it to decide when removal is safe.

I will open multiple PRs to clean these up, one per API.

    Can we also consider a removals of legacy APIs/Component, like:

    • Clipboard
    • DrawerLayoutAndroid
    • ProgressBarAndroid
    • PushNotificationIOS
    • UTFSequence

    Previously, this was blocked by internal Meta usage, but maybe something has changes since the last attempt.

    @Simek This umbrella issue covers already deprecated components / APIs removal, not new deprecations.

    For new deprecations:

    For the rest, I agree that we should also delete the Clipboard, ProgressBarAndroid, PushNotificationIOS and UTFSequence code (already deprecated for a while, not even in the docs sidebar anymore, that's why I missed them 😅)

    @cortinico Are those still used at Meta?

    I've had a PR open for the removal of the Clipboard API but it seems that it is indeed still used at meta: #54584
