WinUI 3 now installs only through the PowerShell-native one-line setup (
irm https://aka.ms/devconfig/winui/setup.ps1 | iex), which runs the Windows Dev Config engine. Thewinget configurepath (configuration.wingetplus itsinstall.ps1shim) is no longer needed.Changes
Workloads/winui/configuration.wingetandWorkloads/winui/install.ps1, plus theirsrc/Workloads/winui/sources.src/manifest.yml: thewinuiflow now pointsinstallatWorkloads/winui/setup.ps1and omitsconfiguration, matching the PowerShell-nativecalm-osflow. It staysmanual_test: true, so the CI matrix is unaffected.src/docs/development.mdand the comment insrc/windows-dev-config/workloads/winui.ps1: drop references to the removed files.Notes
README.mdis intentionally untouched; Simplify and tighten README documentation #144 updates it, including removing the WinUIwinget configurerow.windows-dev-config/workloads/winui.ps1still mentionsconfiguration.wingetin a comment. It was left as is to keep its signature valid and will pick up the change on the next signing pass.configurationpath, the Command Palette extension will no longer list WinUI as awinget configureflow, the same ascalm-os.
