@localden can we help with that integration? <3

I feel like I've time-warped back to 2015 🤦 - instead of adding noise with "+1" comments, hit the 👍 reaction that GitHub gave us in 2016 to quell the noise. Hit subscribe too if you want updates.
With that out of the way, It looks like an integration with the new
cursor-agentCLI (not the main cursor cli) will be possible! I've created a repo with spec-kit added as a submodule and added cursor rules that provide/specify,/plan,/tasks, and/implementcommands.What I've implemented:
- Spec-kit as git submodule with official scripts
- Node.js wrapper (
scripts/spec-kit-wrapper.js) for pnpm integration - Cursor rules in
.cursor/rules/providing spec-kit commands - Working workflow:
@specify→@plan→@research→@tasks→@implement
Key findings:
cursor-agentCLI respects existing.cursor/rules/configuration automatically- All spec-kit commands work seamlessly through the CLI
- Both IDE (cursor rules) and terminal (
cursor-agent) workflows are now supported - No breaking changes to existing spec-kit functionality
Dual workflow support:
- IDE: Use
@specify,@plan, etc. in Cursor for rich, interactive development - Terminal: Use
cursor-agent --print "Run @specify for..."for automation and scripting
With extremely limited testing, it seems the integration works out-of-the-box - the CLI automatically loads cursor rules and executes spec-kit workflows. This provides excellent flexibility for both interactive development and automated/CI workflows.
I'll double check what additional details I'm able to share

Hey folks - latest release of the Specify CLI introduces experimental support for Cursor. Would love folks to check it out and let me know if it works.

Hi @localden I've tested and it doesn't show the / commands. Here is my test
Could we reopen this issue? Thanks.
Hi @samwangdd, that's an old command. You should use the latest command in the README. E.g

I use Cursor on a daily basis in addition to the already supported AI coding agents like Claude Code and Gemini CLI.
I am thinking of how to leverage the terminal AI coding agents plus AI powered IDE.
