on Mar 18, 2026 👋 @hfhbd we're aware of this problem, and are working on it internally. This will unfortunately not be solved by any release before Easter (the next release window is roughly around the 9th of April). I'll try to get a confirmation we'll get this done by then.

You have to use

tools: linkedbut its still using2.25.1and not2.25.2.Setup CodeQL tools

Found gnu tar version 1.35.
'tools: linked' was requested, so using CodeQL version 2.25.1, the version shipped with the Action.
Found CodeQL tools version 2.25.1 in the toolcache.

Description of the issue
Kotlin 2.3.20 was released on 2026-03-16: https://github.com/JetBrains/kotlin/releases/tag/v2.3.20
CodeQL does not support Kotlin 2.3.20 yet, due to small changes in the Kotlin compiler plugin api.
