Hi! According to GitHub's documentation, the review can take a few days, so having your application stay in "Pending" for a short while is normal. As for acceptance, GitHub doesn't appear to publish a specific acceptance rate. Eligibility is based on contributing to open source and living in a supported region, and GitHub may request additional information during the review process. Regarding revenue, GitHub doesn't charge fees on sponsorships from personal accounts, so 100% of those sponsorship payments go to the sponsored developer. Of course, actually receiving sponsorships depends on people choosing to support your work. So if you only submitted the application a couple of hours ago, I'd give it some time before contacting support. Hope this helps! |

Hi Pedro, Thank you for sharing. I have submitted the request above 3 weeks ago I think. |

If your GitHub Sponsors application has been Pending for about three weeks, it is reasonable to follow up with GitHub Support. GitHub's documentation says that Sponsors applications are reviewed by GitHub and that review may take a few days. It does not publish a guaranteed maximum review time. You can check:
Since yours has remained pending for roughly three weeks, I would contact GitHub Support and include your GitHub username and the date you submitted the application. Hello everyone,

I submitted a request for GitHub Sponsors but haven't received a response yet; the status remains "Pending."
I would appreciate it if you could share your experiences. How long does it take to get a reply? Do they usually accept or reject applications? Is there any revenue involved? ...etc.
Thanks in advance to everyone for sharing.
